The SonoScape E2 has been categorized as an economical portable ultrasound system that supports color Doppler and is designed for vascular, veterinary, urology, cephalic, small parts, pediatric, obstetrical, musculoskeletal, gynecology, cardiac and abdominal exams.
Compared to the older generations of the ultrasound machine, the SonoScape E2 has a more advanced software platform and hardware, with a number of advanced imaging technologies integrated, such as the multi-beam parallel processing, wideband dynamic range, and fully digital broad bandwidth beamformer.
What’s more, the machine is fully equipped for basic clinical screenings to full exam profiles with assistance from high-end options including a 15.6” LED monitor, 2 standard portable ports, Panoramic imaging, Enhanced Needle Visualization, Standby Mode, Auto Image Optimization, Spatial Compounding and Auto IMT.
Unlike the previous model of SonoScape, E2 meets higher requirements of customers with Bi-directional Doppler modes, Simultaneous Doppler modes, Tissue Doppler, and continuous Doppler.
The machine shares the same system architecture as the SonoScape E1 but incorporates more options that enable better workflow and clinical applications.
Applications
Review
The SonoScape E2 is a low-cost portable ultrasound machine that adopts advanced technologies of ultrasound and supports P/W Doppler as a portable and optional ultrasound machine.
The machine has a proprietary and advanced architecture that covers a wide range of applications and high-end options.
The SonoScape is based on stable and flexible Linux interfaces and operations. In addition to this, the machine can be updated and maintained with simple software updates.
The portable ultrasound machine is very valuable for veterinary applications and comes with specific animal body marks.
The SonoScape E2 has a range of transducers to select from for humans including 7P-B and 3P-A for cardiac, pediatric, and adult cardiac applications, respectively, and 3C-A that can be used for general imaging.
The position and price point of the device makes it acceptable for penetration for both convex and linear probes, moreover, makes it an acceptable future version to expand in the market.
The machine has much better pixels, margin definition, and expression compared to Mindray Z5 and Z6. However, although the system is low end, the Doppler performance is good and provides acceptable resolution and sensitivity.
